It was surprisingly clear this evening so I had the big scope pointing at IC417 again.

To pass the time I stuck my 1000D out on the tripod.

Had another run tonight.

Hit two problems though. Firstly the battery died in my intervalometer which meant I was about 140 shots short on what I wanted. Then the dew got to the lens.

Oh well.

Not a bad shot though I think.

Yes, bit of artistic license there methinks! It looks a bit like Mount Wilson.
