More Comet and CoatHanger

Obviously there are going to be a few of these. Taken on 1st September between 10:30 and midnight.

I've stacked 10 x 60 second exposures in each channel using Maxim, post processed in photoshop CS3. Garradd moved substantially during the run (which shows in the image), so i'm going to try and put a monochrome animation together.

Camera: Atik 383L+
Filter Wheel: SX UFW-2S, Baader RGB filters
Scope: 100mm Avian Starseeker ED APO

Guided with Antares 50mm Finder, QHY5 and PHD Guiding.

Thanks guys,

Here's the animation I promised, this is just the red channel frames (11 of them) put together using JASC Animation Shop. The movement of the comet is clearly seen and this spans just 40 minutes.

That completes the wardrobe compliment of 'coathangers' nicely Chris, albeit yours is a little different, as its up the other way to all the others *laugh02*

Nicely captured, framed and processed.

Love the animation :th:
