Faint aurora in East Anglia

Postby antimorris » Tue Jan 24, 2012 4:23 pm

Very faint Aurora a couple nights ago here in East Anglia thanks to the CME a few days ago. Couldn't see anything visually, but some long exposures on the camera captured a little bit of color floating around the northern skies. None of the neat vertical pillars, but I'll take what I can get. Hopefully will actually get one soon that I can see without the help of my camera! .... not the greatest pictures, but was happy to capture at least some of the aurora activity from where I am in England and got a little of both the green and red

Hey, I've lived here in East Anglia for 26 years, and never seen one sad1

I have to say that it was very astute of you, to think that it might be there, and making the effort to image it.

Nice work!! :th:

Sorry Anna we seem to have wandered off your post, you have certainly captured that green glow in the North. Good thinking to set the camera up to see what you might capture.

Smart thinking Anna. A great capture.

I have a feeling that, if I did that in my location, it would be yellow........with light pollution!
